Taken, boy band visit Northwood School
As part of National Anti-bullying week our Year 7 & 8 students were given the opportunity to see one of the UK's up and coming boy bands, Taken.

Youth Speaks Winners!
Congratulations to our Senior Team who won the Hillingdon Youth Speaks competition. They will now go on to represent the Borough in the next stage of this Rotary Club public speaking competition. Well done too, to our Intermediate Team who earned a worthy second place.

Youth Travel Ambassadors (YTA)
Youth Travel Ambassadors (YTA) is a youth-led programme for secondary schools and sixth form centres in London. Young people aged 11-19 can make a difference to the transport issues affecting their school communities.

Youth Council Meeting in Parliament

Courageous Charley gets the Chop!

London Mayor’s Schools’ Gold Club
We are very proud to announce that Northwood School has been invited to join the London Mayor’s Schools’ Gold Club 2015 on account of its outstanding results. This is an annual scheme which celebrates and shares the exceptional practice in London’s highest performing schools. Mr Anderson, Headteacher, and Mrs Greening, Chair of Governors, are proud to have been invited to attend an awards ceremony later this month where they will be meeting Boris Johnson, Mayor of London.

Sixth Form Results
Sixth Form students at Northwood School were once again celebrating another set of excellent results.
Terrific effort for 'Free the Children'
The Summer Fair, on Saturday 27 June, was a great success and we managed to raise over £700! Well done to the Interact Student group, led by Parmis, and a huge thank you to all the students involved in organising this event.

On Friday 26 June, Year 11s had their Prom. It was a great end to a successful year and the students really enjoyed themselves, dancing the night away. Everyone, students and staff looked amazing.

D&T and Art Exhibition

The exhibition was celebrated with the students, parents, friends and family on Thursday 25th June 2015 with some lovely nibbles provided by the year 10 food tech students.
We would like to wish the students all the best with their future studies!
David Walliams writes to Year 7 Literacy Group!
A huge well done to all the Year 7 Literacy students who completed the Gangsta Granny scheme of work and wrote such wonderful letters to the author David Walliams. He enjoyed reading the letters and to recognise the students' hard work, we received a lovely reply, along with a signed picture and a signed box set of books for the SEN dept.

Working with innovative glass artist, Catrin Jones!
A selection of Year 7,8 and 9 students have been busy creating artwork which is to be installed in the new build in 2016. They worked with the artist Catrin Jones and decided to explore the theme nature, inspired by the schools name 'Northwood'.

High-achievers visit Warwick University!
Five of our high-achieving Year 9 students were chosen to attend the Future Scholar Awards, at the University of Warwick in Coventry.

Students and teachers at Northwood School are celebrating confirmation from the Department of Education which has placed Northwood in the top 5% of schools nationally for its 2014 GCSE results. More details in our School Performance section.
